I was just passing through a town when i noticed that a child was sleeping on a bench. Just following that many people were under poorly made tents and covering themselves with old newspaper. 

My own bed

Trevor is the oldest of Magnolia's three kids. His father and him were fired from their jobs in month of February year 1931 I believe. His mother is faintly ill and he shares a bed with his whole family. The dust bowl and depression hit them hard! "I only want is fo my pappy and familey to have their own beds" 

Starving Children

These children in 1937 have nothing to eat because they are suffering through the dust bowl and great depression has hit their parents hard. Their parents have lost their jobs and don’t have a way to support their families. “mom is crying and papa doesn’t smile anymore, please help us I don’t understand”

Children carving pumpkins for Halloween

October 20th 1934, Calvin and Silvia are carving pumpkins to try to make their family happier. This isn't something children get to do often. "I am jus happy father coold get punkins this yeer". Little Silvia's father has had so much trouble trying to find a job and it makes it harder on her as well as her brother.
